Since we’ve been feeling better, I’ve been trying to do some things… Attempting to get back into the cooking/making things/being active groove. This weekend we went grocery shopping (hooray!) and I started a few little projects!
I made a little something fun for my favorite 14 month old twinners and sent that on its way and took zero pictures, haha, other than this one
Note my sweet little creeper in the background! I also put together a little something for Nora that I found on Pinterest awhile ago. This is much prettier than what Nora’s using, but hopefully I’ll get around to dressing it up one day soon. For now it is an awesome distraction, as she has recently discovered that when you take everything out, you can turn around and put it back in, and then take it out again! Her excitement tickles me to no end!
Something else I’m working on is this sock puppy. I have him mostly done, but he’s a little wonky…. I didn’t really leave enough of the sock for his body! I am so glad Nora is not picky. Luckily, we have a plethera of socks without mates or socks that the husBen no longer enjoys, so if this turns out decently, I can give it another go. I’m going to attempt maybe something different tonight… We’ll see how much creative energy I can muster!
Tomorrow is the big VDAY. Let me start out by saying that this is also the TWENTIETH year it is the anniversary of the birth of my sister! Thanks, mom and dad for that lovely and loving gift. I am so glad that as we grow we’ve been able to grow together, not only as family, but as friends. Nora and Alexis are so lucky to have such a doting aunt in their lives, and I am sure they will appreciate her more and more as the years go on. I wouldn’t trade our relationship for the world. Mary has always been so awesome about sharing her birthday with a holiday – I think she still is convinced we all celebrate love on this day because of her 😉
Ben and I had our date this past Saturday and it was lovely 🙂 I am lucky to be married to such a wonderful man. Since we went out this weekend, our evening tomorrow will most likely be spent with a pizza and a movie, cuddling our little loverbug. I will say that, while I hardcore dig the mushy lovey dovey stuff, I try to take the time to think about the dark side of “love” and keep the survivors of violence against women in my thoughts this time of year. If you have an opportunity to support a V-Day organization or event near you, it will be time and money well spent. If not, I ask that you maybe send a thought or prayer up on behalf of women and girls around the world, until the violence stops.
Last night we had the first real snow all winter!
I give you Nora in a snowsuit!!! Very glad she got to use it before she outgrew it, even if it’s only once. This girl is something pretty special.
Oh Nora in a snow suit is too much cute!
Yay for snow, crafts, and little creepers!
