It’s so incredible to me how fast she changes. She’s gone from a rolling lump in my belly to a tiny helpless thing to an independent little girl in what feels like the blink of an eye.
My girl is obsessed with books. This reinforces the husBen’s and my belief that she is a mini amalgamation of us.
She still has zero fear. She seems to always have little bumps and bruise, and just trusts that whenever she falls (or jumps!) someone will magically appear to catch her. I haven’t encountered this in a small person before. My niece and all the others I’ve been around have been much more cautious. I love her enthusiasm for life.
On another note, it is 2012. My “resolution” was to try to love my husband and daughter better, take better care of me, and bring more positivity to our lives. I summed it up as “more Suzy Homemaker, less fat.”
I got a sewing machine from my madre for Christmas. So far it baffles, intimidates, and delights me.
Sunday is my love‘s birthday. He’s started blogging and I think it’s quite wonderful. He has the most amazing way with words. It’s one of the things I first loved about him. When we were young, he used to rub my head and tell me stories of what our life might be like together someday… So far, even as wonderful a storyteller as he is, the truth is better than fiction.
Wow…love the video of Nora…she’s so cute..and too big 🙂
I got a sewing machine for Christmas, too! Although, I’m still waiting for my new foot pedal since the one they sent with the machine didn’t work. Sad day. I am trying to be more crafty of late as well. I think I need some major classes though. But I did start a cross-stitch and it is looking mighty fine! Tell your husband I said “Happy Birthday!”
